Reading this article made me think of what Martin Luther King oppressed as he rebelled to rightous and justice of the African American race. As I read more into the article I was shocked to hear about how two fellow workers smashed to the death by machinery due to driving rain from sanitary work. Martin Luther King and his fellow activits went through all that just to make a better living for the future.

Reading this article made me feel traumatized by the incident. I say this because it was shocking for me to hear how a 17 year old can just drop dead in seconds.They say the cause of the death was due to an enlarge heart. As the coach of the winining team said.."To Him That Was The Shot To Die For"..in a way I felt this statement described the 17 year old to be very determined about the shot. Reported on ESPN both teams will attend the funeral and memorial event.

This passage was mainly about how severe tornadoes can be. The passage was very informative that provided facts of how tornadoes form, which regions they appear, how fast they travel and ect. The vocabulary word I learned was pendent which means to hanging. Another vocabulary I learned was myriad which means many. According to the passsage tornadoes are considered severe weather phenomenom because they result in death and devestation and I agree because they are very fatal
The Development of Proffessional Athletics
This passage was about how sports are looked at. When I began reading the passage it somewhat threw me off because at one point of time it discussed how the NBA came into play but listed when MLB was associated and gave examples of teams of when there region was created. Sports in America are enjoyable for Americans from various strata of society. The popularity of American Baseball has experience rapid periodic growth.
Television Networks and Broadcasting
This passage was mainly about how televison programs provide Americans with more than enough options from which to choose. How I see TV networks its very entertaining to alot of Americans. Everything we need to know or findout we watch the Network or broadcast. From soap operas to game shows from highly rated TV shows to award shows we all tune in to the Television network and broadcast.

This passage was mainly how a national memorial dedicated to four presidents who was considered most pivotal in US history. Those four presidents were George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theordore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. The memorial was built in South Dakota. The vocabulary word I learned in the passage was visage which meant to face.
Another vocabulary word I learned was frivolous which meant unimportant. I also learned venue means site.

This passage was about how writing was developed as merchants of trade and began using symbols to represent objects. The merchants used bullae to hold tokens, which acted as merchants invoice. The author discussed the four stages in development of writing through sequential order of stages. I find this very creative for the merchants in their time. As of today technology has changed drastically.
Laboratory Textbook for Physical Anthropology
The main idea of the passage was to determine the sex of the skull would be determined from a method of quantitative and qualitative. I concluded from the passage that quantitative method to sex skulls involves numerical analysis. Quantitative method to sex skulls involves measuring skulls of known sex from anatomical collections and generating discriminating function scores that best characterize the sample. Honestly I would like to see how the sex skull is examined. Find it interesting.
Deciphering Earth History
The main idea of this passage was to inform how sediment rocks are important for understanding historical geology. The author supports the position on the importance of sedimentary rocks through objcective facts. The author also believes that rocks of all types igneous,metamorphic, and sedimentary have stories to tell about earth history, but sediments rocks are the most important historical geology.

This passage was mainly about how variable stars are very young stars and aging stars that become unstable and vary in brightness. I find this passage to be informing of how stars are found and caterogized. The star Omicron Ceti was discovered in 1596 as the first variable star . According to the passage the check star is used to check for variations of the comparison star. The chose a comparison star at random which mean arbritraily.
Psychology: An Introduction
This passage was mainly about how classical conditioning is one explanation of phobic disorders. It stated that a conditioned fear response may be evoked by an originally nuetral stimuli. The author explains classical conditioning and phobic disorders through examples. Also phobic disorders is an intense, irrational fear of an object or event that leads a person to avoid contact with it.
Essay: Not Text and Drive
This essay was mainly about how to encourage people to not text and drive. Personally I find the task to be very dangerous while perfoming. Youre leaving your life at risk as well as others. I found the essay to be very informal. 3 ways we can encourage people to not text while driving is enforcing the law more, create barriers around the phone to not allow to text and drive and broadcast or televise the incident. I agree that we do need to encourage to not text and drive because the situation is very serious and dangerous
